Mazda’s Latest Limited Edition: The MX-5 Miata

Mazda claimed a world record as the first Japanese automaker to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991. The car responsible for winning the race was the Mazda 787 No. 55. The Mazda MX-5 Starts the 2011 Motorsport Season on the Ice


Mazda has opened the 2011 motorsport season on Swedish ice.  That's right, Mazda invited racing enthusiasts from around the work to join them in Sweden from February 21-24 and show off their skills at the MX-5 Ice Race. Not surprisingly, people were chomping at the bit to compete on Mazda's less-than-ordinary choice of terrain, in modified MX-5s tuned for driving on the ice and wearing spike tires.
