Mazda Produces MAZDA2 and MAZDA3 in Mexico

Mazda only began vehicle sales in Mexico six years ago, but that hasn't stopped the Japanese automaker from attaining an impressive sales record already. In fact, sales are so strong that Mazda is planning to construct a brand new factory for the production of the MAZDA2 and MAZDA3 within the region. Mazda Motor Manufacturing de Mexico is currently set to open in 2014, and we here at Menlo Mazda are quite thrilled at the prospects that it represents.
First of all, there's the sheer production capacity of the plant, which is currently set to be around 140,000 units annually. Increased vehicle production spells more profits for the automaker, which then translates into new and redesigned models at dealerships like ours at 543 El Camino Real Redwood City, CA 94063.
Then there's the fact that the plant is actually a joint venture between Mazda and Sumitomo Corp. This means that the new plant is sure to be good for the region, as both entities are keeping the needs of the population at the forefront of the plant's design and initiatives. "The state of Guanajuato and the Sumitomo Group have a lot in common," explains Sumitomo's executive VP Kazuo Ohmori. "Both were established over 400 years ago and developed through a history of mining."1
Of course, the most exciting thing about this production plant is that it equates into more jobs for the region, and in these tough economic times, almost every country in the world can use that kind of good news. This goes double for when those jobs can equate to more growth for the employer throughout the global market.
And we all know that further growth means more new and redesigned models in the new Mazda lineup, which you can learn more about by contacting us online or by phone at (888) 593-6393 today.
